5 Ways to Teach Kids to Be Kind for first time Parents
“Children are not born simply good or bad. We should never give up on them. They need adults or parents who will help them become caring, responsible, and respectful for communities at every step of their childhood,” the researchers write.
The act of kindness, empathy, and moral employs a great deal of role in the personality growth of children. An underlying consideration for others must be instilled while they grow. Emotional intelligence or Empathy doesn’t come naturally to all children in the same amounts. Some children do not understand how to put themselves in other’s shoes, and some children do not know how to show kindness.
Do not worry! There are many things you can do to promote and encourage your children to be a kinder, gentler and responsible person.
Encourage children to share things like chocolate and toys with family
Children tend to be possessive about their items, whether it is their chocolate or their toys. They love to have a whole set with them. Start from the basics. Encourage them to share their toys, food and chocolate with the rest of the family members, pets and friends. Start it from home and with little things.
Expand their boundaries of concern and communication
Almost all of us, including our children, have a small group of family and friends whom we concern about. Expand the boundaries of their concern and their communication with others outside the group. Help your children in learning to care about someone outside their group, for example, talking to a new kid in class or helping a stranger who is unable to cross the road. Such small acts will make them think beyond their circles and keep them motivated to understand others.
Set a perfect example or be a strong moral role
There is no one else in this world who they would look up to and learn from. You are their guide, teacher, mentor and friend. How you make model them about behaviour matters.
Every act you perform in front of them is grasped as a strong emotion into their minds. Be an excellent role model for your child!
Ensure you show the impact of their behaviour on others
When you observe that your child’s behaviour is affecting those around them (friends, family or neighbours) – point it out. Let your child know how their actions or words are affecting others without dishonouring them. Let it be a lesson, not a punishment. Talk to them about their acts and correct them with love.
Give them chances to confer their kind and gratitude feelings.
Your younger ones cannot understand everything through words and lessons. Children need to practice caring and expressing gratitude for those who care for or cared for them. People who are in the habit of showing gratitude are more likely to be generous, helpful, compassionate, and forgiving. They are also more likely to be happy and healthy in their lives. Provide them with opportunities to practise caring and gratitude. Ask them to take care of their younger siblings or pets and teach them to say thank you for the elders who helped them.
Always remind yourself and your kids that kindness is hard sometimes. It is not still easy to show care and gratitude to others. Dr Naumburg says “It doesn’t always flow out of us naturally — but that doesn’t mean that we are not kind.”It can be challenging at times to be generous with a sibling who’s annoying you or a stranger who is scary to talk. But, these are all the situations we all have to go come across. Prepare your kids and make them ready for every kind of play in a positive attitude. This world’s kindness day, take the simple steps to make your children grow up with empathy and forgiveness!!

Breastfeeding care for diabetic mothers
The best way to feed and nurture an infant is through breastfeeding. Most health experts say that breastfeeding is a highly essential way to feed a newborn healthily and naturally. In an ideal case, breastfeeding will start from the first or second day of the birth itself and extends till 15 months. However, many of the diabetic mothers have speculations regarding the same. Diabetic mothers can breastfeed, as well. Having diabetes shouldn’t prevent you from breastfeeding. In fact, there are impressive benefits for both the mother and baby. Know the diversified aims of breastfeeding for diabetic mothers and their babies.
Benefits of Breastfeeding for a Diabetic Mother
Apart from the regular benefits of weight loss gained during pregnancy and relieving stress, Diabetic moms have higher advantages when it comes to breastfeeding. They help you regulate the conditions of insulin and diabetes. Check all the advantages associated with breastfeeding for a diabetic mother.
Breastfeeding tends to increase insulin sensitivity and thus shows a more remarkable change in the long run. This will help the mother in managing insulin and controlling diabetes in a better manner.
In Type-1 Diabetic mothers, the amount of insulin required for the body is reduced by breastfeeding. In turn, these reduced needs will make the mother’s body produce less insulin, controlling diabetes condition.
In Type-2 Diabetic mothers, breastfeeding directly reduces the severity of diabetes. This impact is not just during the phase of breastfeeding; its results are observed throughout life.
For Gestational diabetes, the risk of developing later diabetes is significantly reduced with breastfeeding.
Breastfeeding also suppresses periods and monthly hormonal changes for diabetic mothers.
The hormone oxytocin, which is released during breastfeeding, acts to return the uterus to its regular size more quickly. The release of oxytocin will also reduce the postpartum bleeding condition.
Benefits of Breastfeeding for your Baby
It is well known that breastfed babies tend to have fewer health problems and infections for the rest of their life. The tremendous amounts of antibiotics present in mother milk help them prevent digestive trouble, asthma, ear infections, and respiratory troubles. Babies might also be less likely to develop type 1 or type 2 diabetes with breastfeeding immunity.
Tips for Diabetic Mothers During Breastfeeding
Breastfeeding is excellent and beneficial for women with diabetes, but it may make your blood glucose a little harder to predict. You will observe variations in glucose levels. Here are the tips to help prevent low blood glucose levels:
Plan to have a snack before or during nursing
Keep something to handle low blood glucose nearby when you nurse, so you don’t have to stop your child’s feeding midway.
Drink enough fluids and plan to sip a glass of water or a caffeine-free drink while nursing.
Have a perfect feeding schedule prepared by discussing with your midwife or pediatrician. They will guide you and help you regulate your diabetes and a healthy feeding procedure for your infant.

Ten Quick Tips Regarding Pregnancy Care for first-time moms
Though pregnancy is the best anxious news every woman awaits to hear, it’s a little nervous state for first-time moms. The running thread of thoughts has no end about what is right to do and what is not. Lets cut the thread short. Check these ten important and quick tips regarding pregnancy care for first-time moms.
Keep up your exercise routine
Exercise does not harm your baby, and all you need to do is check the pattern. Take advice from your doctor to choose the right ones during pregnancy. Nonetheless, do continue the routine with no change. Adding in Kegels might actually help you more in strengthening the pelvic floor muscles. These muscles support your bladder and give their best during your labor. So keep going!
Educate yourself with the right amounts
Too much information might confuse you, but knowing the basics is a must. Educate yourself with the needed information only and keep the google off. Your doctor would be your perfect guide and tutor for this. Hence, ask and learn from your doctor or midwife for the essential and to-be-known information.
Stay away from chemicals and toxins
Staying away from harsh chemicals soothes you from your morning sickness, especially in your first trimester. It is recommended to change the cleaning habits and avoid more chemical involved processes. For example, cleaning up the home and tidying up washrooms with detergents. Besides, avoid heavy lifting and climbing up ladders or stools as well. Put a strict no for such tasks.
Tracking weight gain must be added to your routine
Tracking your weight helps you understand baby growth during pregnancy. Gaining too little is not a good sign of baby growth, and being overweight again is an issue. Hence, a proper trace is required and can always be discussed with your doctor.
Fruits are the best snacks.
You would appreciate the growing appetite during pregnancy, but munching on junk is not a good idea. The best way to keep yourself full yet healthy is with fruits. Try mixing them if having one single variety is too boring. MIx and trail!
Follow your doctor’s adviceFrom your family to friends, everyone wants you to be safe and happy. So the advice list flows in. However, pregnancy care is vital and is designed to help you through the course. Hence follow your doctor strictly. They would always suggest the best for you!
Hygiene and comfort
Pregnancy makes the mother more sensitive and vulnerable to infections. Hence, following high hygiene standards to keep away bacteria and germs is necessary. Pick the most comfortable clothes you love to have. The more pleasant you are, the more snuggles the baby inside will feel.
Your body requires more water
All the required essentials like oxygen, water, and energy for your baby are supplied through your blood. For carrying out all the metabolic activities, more amounts of water are required in your body. Always remember, it’s not just for one but for two.
#9. Do not subdue your cravings.
Pregnancy cravings will let your emotions calm down, and it is entirely normal to fit in with your cravings. Regardless, little care is required while taking in all. Do check the amounts you are consuming and avoid the toxin-filled ones. It is important to note what kind of food is being carried to your baby.
#10. Never skip your doctor checks
Prenatal checks and scans play a vital role in your pregnancy care. They allow you to understand the growth of your baby and the necessary measures to follow. The proper vitamin and protein supplements that you require are suggested and given by your doctor.
