Many mothers discover they require assistance with nursing, particularly when their child is newly born.
While some mothers and babies find nursing easy, many others require more assistance. However, there are many things you may do to avoid issues from arising and start breastfeeding successfully.
Here at KIMS Cuddles, our interdisciplinary NICU Lactation Support Committee is made up of neonatologists, occupational therapists, lactation consultants, and counsellors. Through a number of initiatives, we aggressively encourage breastfeeding and the consumption of own mothers' milk. Staff workers choose to participate in specialized training in order to support and assist nursing moms in the NICU more effectively.
