Pregnancy can be the most enjoyable, as well as the most stressful time for a mom. It may riddle you with a lot of worries about the well-being of yourself and your fetus. However, it is important to relax in order to stay healthy throughout your pregnancy. Here are some ways to cope with the anxiety that comes with being pregnant:


  1. Talk to a friend or a loved one

If you feel anxious during pregnancy, it’s important to tell someone about it. Ideally, sharing your feelings and thoughts with a close friend, partner or a family member can help. You can also ask your doctor to refer you to a trained expert in case your anxiety is affecting your everyday life.

When you’re engaged in activities that help to lower stress and anxiety, you feel good about yourself. Physical activity such as exercise, walking, running or yoga can release endorphins which act as a natural soothing agent for your brain. You could also try other exercises that move your body, such as aerobics or dancing, can have a positive effect on your anxiety.

You can also try activities that help your body release endorphins without working up a sweat.   1. Talk to your doctor

If your anxiety is causing you panic attacks or affecting your daily life, talk to your doctor about it. The sooner you get help, the better. They may refer you to a therapist and put you on medications if needed. Don’t feel embarrassed about sharing your thoughts and feelings. Your every thought is important.
