Dr. R. Nagarajan was trained in PGI, Chandigarh, where he pursued his post-graduate course in anaesthesia. Later on, he did a fellowship in paediatric cardiac anaesthesia in the Madras Medical Mission, Chennai. He worked earlier as the head of the department of paediatric cardiac anaesthesia in several reputed units in the country.
